Welcome to the Pro Cycling Apparel Blog
What this blog covers: race fit, aero, layering by temperature, fabrics by panel, decoration checks and spec packs, written from the development studio.
Laura runs race apparel development projects end to end: she takes the buyer's brief, schedules the sampling rounds and signs off the spec pack that goes to production.
Laura is the buyer's single contact on every development project at Pro Cycling Apparel. She reads the brief first, and when it is missing a size range, a target race condition or asks for something outside development scope, she sends it back with a written list of what is missing and which door it belongs to.
Once a brief is complete she schedules the work across the pattern table, the sample bench and the D65 colour station, carries every disagreement back to the buyer, and keeps the revision log that records which panel changed, what changed and why. She never edits a specification the buyer has already confirmed.
She signs off the eight-part spec pack that ships at the end of a project and arranges the handoff, either to the buyer's own production line or to the sister factory site. On this blog Laura writes about briefs, sampling rounds, revision logs, spec packs and how a full temperature range of race garments is developed as one set.
